Obito Jacket

"Obito Uchiha" is from Naruto and this jacket is inspired by the stage play designs of the show

This jacket was constructed as an independent school project during covid. I wanted to experiment with using different fabrics and adding all kinds of detail to a plain design much like was done in the stage play version of Naruto. I patterned and constructed this jacket with a full lining and closures even though the character himself never closes his jacket. I wanted this piece to reflect how we finish garments in theatre instead of making it completely accurate.

Most fabrics used were synthetic, ranging from vinyl, to velvet, to a fuzzy mesh. All orange fabrics and piping were various cotton fabrics, mostly types of broadcloth.
